Althought this item is large and occupies a good deal of space and was a lengthy build it has been worth the effort. Yesterday I ripped some cladding to use for narrow skirting in the downstairs toilet - effortless and allowed be to save money using materials I already had. I feel it was a good investment in time, space and money.

My only concern is that when you lock the Rip Fence the far end moves in towards the blade. I feel this locking device over time will wear, so perhaps re-designing it with some sort of screw mechanism to lock it. Sorry I'm no designer or come to that woodworking expert but this is what I see and feel will happen over time. Regards Reg Charlton

This machine is unbelievable, quality and design are great, plus the various jobs in different materials that can be achieved, is really incredible.

I tried to return the item, but coz I removed it from the box the company that I had brought it from refused me so got in touch with evolution they also refused. The reason for this is :::: what a plastic flimsy piece of —— from construction, to using the saw the first time. Nothing fitted the blade wouldn’t sit at 90 degrees, the fence moves when tightening down and then very sloppy. The bevel is a waste of time. The only good part of this saw is the box it came in. I do own a Evolution cross mitre saw and really happy with it. That is why I brought this. My advice is DO NOT BUY THIS SAW pay a bit more money you can find mine on eBay going cheep

Cracking value for money, fence a bit dodgy but perfectly usable. A fence that grips at the front and back of the table would make a massive difference
