“Initially we were really pleased with the memorial plaque for my daughters bench but within 4 days of putting on to the bench it went dull and water marked!
Have been told to use brasso which you don't expect to do after 4 days !! Looks like it's been there years !!”
Hello Sheena, I'm sorry to hear that your plaque isn't looking as expected.
As per the care instructions a regular buff with brasso will remove any natural tarnishing and give it a nice shiny lustre. The brasso process will also add an element of protection to slow down any tarnishing. This can be further enhanced with a light coat of olive oil. We recommend brasso as it's commonly available and well proven but if you have any metal polish designed for brass you should get the same results (peek, autosol, autoglym are ones we've heard of too)
If I can help further please let me know.
Kindest regards, Andy
