“This is a very nice piece, however my only criticism of it is that the base has a circle of pewter in the very centre that extrudes from the rest of the base. This both makes it wobble slightly if placed directly onto a hard top surface, and creates the risk that the coaster will scratch the table top it’s on (in my case I’m using it as coaster for a night water bottle and my bed side tables are made of oak, hence the worry of scratching). This is easily sorted by getting a piece of fabric cut to shape but was expecting this not to be an issue. Otherwise, it’s still a nice looking and well made piece of pewter.”

“Bordeaux bottle is not stable on this wooden insert. The groove on the wooden insert is not a snug fit causing the bottle to tip, making a slanted angle while standing. Suggest making a smaller outside diameter on the groove to accommodate the standard Bordeaux bottle diameter”
