“The cup did not include whether the time of birth was AM or PM on the engraving, and it did not state this at time of ordering and payment. I had to take it somewhere myself to get this added, at a cost of an additional £18.95. Before taking it, I asked if English Pewter Company would refund the cost of their own engraving (£7) to go some way to covering the payment to rectify this but they refused.”

Hi, I am sorry to hear your were unhappy with your purchase. As discussed via email the tankard has been engraved in line with our usual process. As standard, we engrave the hands on the clock face to reflect the time of birth. Since analogue clocks do not distinguish between AM and PM—unlike digital clocks—this is not included in the engraving. The tankard is stamped with the design before we add the personalised engraving, therefore, i am afraid there is no way for us to incorporate the AM or PM as part of the stamped design. -MH
