Based on the price I was paying, I was expecting something between a low and mid-range quality record player that would be nice for a small room. However the quality for me hasn’t really met my expectations: 1. First of all, both the needle arm and the record platter are suspended really high, so from an aesthetic point of view you can see the machinery from under the arm. When physically playing, it is so flimsy and cheap that it jumps harshly every time I take the needle off on auto-stop (Even when using my fingers it is soooo delicate). Touching anything on the needle arm area creates skipping on the record, and even when you aren’t touching the record the rotating plate is too high at an angle it skips any way. ^ I am sure it is not ElectroMarket’s fault, but it may be just a faulty version of the actual product I have recieved, or Fenton have just done a really stinky turntable (according to reviews, it isn’t! Believe me I checked). 2. The Bluetooth mode does not work! (Not BT out option). When connecting to my phone, the connection goes through well and everything, and so I am connected. Yet, the turntable doesn’t want to TURN anymore. It is really awkward and I really can’t get it to start spinning. This is frustrating as I got this for my girlfriend’s birthday and I fully expect her to be using the bluetooth function all the time. HOWEVER - the sound of the record player is as expected, and the volume control on the actual stereo built in is a nice volume (the needle feedback is loud though, so always put the cover over when playing). Basically I will either be sending this back or operating heart surgery on this thing to make it a reasonable quality for my girlfriend, but very dissatisfied and annoying to be quite honest.

Thank you for your review, Adam. We genuinely appreciate your feedback on the Fenton RP162. It’s disappointing to hear that the build quality and performance have not met your expectations, especially as this was a thoughtful gift for your girlfriend. We understand the frustration with both the needle arm and the Bluetooth functionality. Issues like skipping and connection problems can certainly be annoying, and your experience is valuable feedback for us and the manufacturer. On a positive note, we’re pleased to hear that the sound quality has met your expectations, even though the needle feedback was louder than anticipated. If you have further concerns or would like assistance in exploring a suitable alternative, please do not hesitate to reach out. We're here to help!
