“I recently started a 6 week plastic free challenge to kick start a plastic free lifestyle. This meant going cold turkey from all of my products in plastic containers. Luckily I already had a bamboo toothbrush but my toothpaste was in a plastic tube. This product arrived really fast and in minimal plastic packaging. It works well with my bamboo toothbrush as the brushes are much softer than I would prefer, but as the toothpaste is clay based that extra grit helps get my teeth clean despite the softness of the brush. However, as it is made with natural products (as described clearly on the website so I wasn't surprised) you don't get any nice foam like with regular toothpaste. Instead it dribbles out of your mouth and if your not close enough to the sink creates a mess. I have been using it for 2 weeks straight and while I did get used to the texture, I can't get over the taste. It's bad! Wayyy too strong, super bitter, I wouldn't say it tastes minty despite the overpowering smell of menthol. I have had all of my housemates try it and they spat it out immediately and went back to Colgate. I can't imagine family's getting their kids to brush with this stuff. Sadly teeth time is no longer an enjoyable experience, however they are being cleaned. Concluding remarks, arrived in record time, plastic free, free from nasties and fluorides, texture weird but manageable and useful if your brush is too soft, taste and smell needs some work.”

“This comes in a nice tin. It should last as only small amount needed. The taste is not bad but leaves a taste in your mouth in the morning after.”

“I really want to like this toothpaste, love the idea and the herbs used and the packaging. Unfortunately the clay tastes really awful and the only way to get rid of the taste is to use mouthwash immediately after brushing teeth, which sort of defeats the purpose of using an eco toothpaste. I wouldn't mind if it was more liquid as long as it's not clay-based.”

“I have sensitive gums and have always been wary of switching from my usual toothpaste, but this toothpaste is fantastic. The taste might take a little getting used to for some, but not too much :) Your teeth feel so much cleaner after using it, and they stay feeling cleaner for longer, even after eating/drinking. It seems like it will last a long time, too, as you don't need to use very much so it should be great value for money over time. I'll be back for more when I run out (eventually!)”

“I was nervous about trying this natural toothpaste, as after trying toothpaste tablets I didn't enjoy the after taste. However the natural toothpaste leaves no strange after taste, just a fresh clean feeling mouth. It only took me a couple of days to get used to not having foam, and the end result of clean teeth and fresh breath won me over. Plus this product helps me to carry on working towards my zerowaste lifestyle, as it comes in a glass bottle with a metal lid.”
