“Always purchase the crate of Ash Dalby Gold which is excellent value for money decided to have a change and go for the Birch. A little disappointed as the logs are smaller due to the birch being a smaller tree than the Ash so not sure if the crate will last as long. Although the quality is the same as the Ash maybe once I start using it I will change my mind as at the moment it is difficult to compare.”

Thanks for the review. The product you ordered does state that the logs are thin cut, as the standard cut logs were out of stock. The volume of firewood is exactly the same, so the smaller logs will burn faster, but you have more logs.

“Excellent quality of wood. Burns well as properly kiln dried. Whilst there are cheaper sources, the quality is nothing like as good as Dalby wood, which therefore turns out to be better value.”

We have had two fires and the wood burns slowly and does not spit and seems to last longer.
