Really comfortable and well made with great padding not too cumbersome, Have done a couple of 20 mile rides and I am very happy with the bib shorts

Sooo much more comfortable than the Ey Up pair that I own. Well worth the little bit extra.

It fit round the belly but the leg holes were too wide. He took off the tags before trying on and thus could not return the item for an exchange :(

Hi Victoria It sounds like these are much too large. Unless your husband has very slim legs and a very large tummy he needs to go down 1 or 2 sizes! If they haven' t been worn we will accept them back without the tags attached. Please can you drop us an email to fatlads@fatladattheback.com we can sort this.

Wore these for a two and a half hour ride and was mighty impressed, comfy as FLAB one might say and what a difference between these and the Ey Up bibs. Really light material and although the padding may not look that thick, it certainly done the job. Only down point for me was when I adjusted the legs and the elastic cuff on the bottom became marked when stretched, only a little bit enough but enough to leave a white mark. Def will be adding to the Chrimbo list for another pair.

Hi Alex, thanks for the detailed review. It's interesting that some people prefer the Jewel and others the Ey Ups - personal preference and all that of course we think they're both good but possibly the Jewel more appropriate for the more experienced rider. I've not come across the mark scenario you describe, hopefully it's small enough not to bother you? And deffo get that Christmas list sorted! Thanks again and happy continued cycling from all the FLAB gang.
