“I was offered a fair renewal price for my car insurance,when I accepted the quote I was informed grove and dean would contact my insurer for proof of no claims,after the policy was issued, I was then informed that I had to contact my insurer for this proof. This I did and they provided 9 years no claims proof. grove and dean said this was insufficient,and they required 19 years proof, bearing in mind the industry norm is 5 years.As I was unable to provide 19 years proof, my premium was increased by £83 the alternative was to cancel the policy which would have been more costly, as grove and dean in their wisdom were going to invoke a large short term cover charge. This occurred because G .and D. changed their mind regarding contacting my previous insurer,by which the policy had been issued.!”
