“Bearing in mind this is a budget lens - it produces some very nice images. Build quality is good with the mounting flange being made of metal, and the rest being high quality plastics. The rear lens cap has a USB C port connected to contacts built in to the cap, so future firmware updates should be a bit easier - something the other lens manufacturers should consider doing I think. The lens itself - well, On a Z50 it produces images easily on a par with the Nikon 16-50 kit lens. Focus is quick and accurate and only has the same issues focusing as any other lens with scenes with little contrast. At f1.8 the lens offers lovely bokeh too. The only one thing I could fault it on is noticeable vignetting at wide apertures. Once you step down to f4 the effect is hardly noticeable. Vignette control on the camera body does help too. All in all - a bargain of a lens!”
