“Useful addition if you use the round Kase Magnetic filter system. The hood can be quickly removed to allow you to access the filters, and then replace the hood to keep out rain/sun flare. The hood material seems robust, I have had one for a good while now and it shows no sign of wear, and can be folded back to allow for wide angle shots. The only gripe is that the strength of the magnetic is not as strong as it could be. The hood is relatively easy to knock off, and this purchase was triggered by losing one in the forest, so I now have two adapters and one flexible hood. There is no option to buy just the hood, so if you do lose a hood, then its a ful kit that you will have to purchase. That said, I find the hood extremely useful, and would definitely buy again, no going back to rigid hoods for me.”
