Bras will have a different cup size and band size, to accomodate for different bust and back sizes.
A 20E will fit a back and cup size bigger than an 18E, and 18E will fit a cup and back size bigger than a 16E, etc.
If you're finding the back is too firm, but the cup size works well, I suggest sizing up to a 22DD :) This is one size up in the back, but the cup will fit the same as the 20E cup.
