Amazing kit, keeps oil temperature steady and oil pressure at a good level. Perfect for boosted applications like my fully forged 1.8 :)

No major problems fitting this above my intercooler, I had to make two simple brackets from a 3x25mm stainless steel bar. The braided lines were a perfect length. But I needed a sandwich plate spacer on the oil outlet on the block to allow the lines to run vertically down off the thermostatic sandwich plate without fouling the engine block. This was the only downside. Quality materials and worth the money. No oil pressure drop too.

I put on a ebay Chinese oil cooler kit after forging my engine for a turbo build. Got a shock when I got very low oil pressure on first start. I took off the oil cooler kit and oil pressure came back to nearly same as before forging it. I then ordered this kit, it bolted up easy enough, unions on fittings would make it a bit easier, no need to cut hoses as I put the cooler in betweeen the rad and intercooler. Used ptfe tape on sandwich plate hose connections and thread lock on lock nut for sandwich plate. Filled cooler with oil and hoses before connecting to cooler to prevent air locks. Fired up engine and saw no loss of oil pressure. Was expecting some pressure loss, so pleasantly surprised. Haven’t tested on track yet but on a warm day with traffic oil temp went between 76 and 82 deg c. Temp sensor on sandwich plate. Quality bit of kit.
