“Fitted to my 5 speed MK2.5, no instructions, I had 2 dowels in my gearbox and I also had to fit it backwards some could say? Easy enough to install from a YouTube video, was very tight and hard to get into gear sometimes, didn’t enjoy it at first. Then I ragged the guts out of it getting onto a main road from a busy junction and it’s really enjoyable and smooth, notchy like you want it to be. I do find you can get through the gears too quick for the engine if that makes sense? You can get from 3-4 before the revs drop if you are thrashing it which makes the car a bit jumpy. Other than that I love it and think it’s a great product.”

“I have installed the ISR short shifter around a week ago, since then I drove around 250 miles. From the outset the short shifter was very easy to install, taking around a hour from start to finish. Unfortunately it didn't come with instructions, which to be honest is the only negative point I can give. In a nutshell the ISR short shifter is brilliant, the materials feel solid and well machined, and new hardware comes in the box (which I love to see) Once installed, I measured a 32% reduction in throw but that only tells half the story, the feel of changing gear now compared to the standard shifter is night and day! It feels mechanical, notchy and precise. Easily one of the best pound for pound upgrades available. I highly recommend!!”
