Really good quality item and you instantly notice a difference. However does work with Mk1 fuel rail, and fouls on Mk1 alternator also. Needs mofying to fit, not ideal when it's supposed to go straight on. None the less good quality item.

Good bit of kit looks great in the bay of my mk1 along with the radium fuel rail only downside is for the mk1 there’s a slight clearance issue with the top of the starter motor so the intake may need a bit of shaving down.

This is not an easy fit, particularly on my 1997 MK1 1.8 It is shaped different to the OEM manifold and sits further down and further to the left as such you need to remove the starter motor and alternator to tighten the bottom bolts. As the instructions state you need to alter the main electrical connection to the starter motor as it may touch the manifold. You may need to grind off some metal on the alternator bracket as it fouls the MK1 idle control valve water pipes. You may find the main electrical connection on your alternator depending on type also fouls the manifold. The standard air intake pipe does not fit as it fouls the thermostat as you try to make it fit onto the throttle body. You need a bit of ingenuity to get it all to fit. However in conjunction with the matching throttle body, k&n filter and racing beat exhaust system the engine spins up really well and easily pulls through the red line compared to when in standard trim. If it was a far simpler fit I would have given it five stars
