“Fitted these Skidnation bushes on my [e.g., NC] at the weekend. Honestly, it was a dead simple job – took maybe 15 minutes all in. The difference was noticeable straight away. The doors shut with a much more solid 'thunk' now, and the car just feels tighter. The best part is that a load of the annoying rattles I had over rough bits of road have either vanished or are much quieter. For the price, you really can't go wrong.”

“My MX-5 NC1 has 110,000 miles on it now and has been getting quite noisy on rougher bits of tarmac. I've been putting this down to suspension bushes getting worn (though no issues at any MOTs). Whilst thinking about solutions for this, I thought I'd change the door bushings as part of some other minor bits of work I've been doing, though I wasn't convinced these would actually do anything. The day after fitting, we did a 230 mile run covering lots of different road surfaces and immediately noticed a huge difference - a very large amount of the road noise is gone. Probably still look at some other bushings but this small change makes the car feel so much more enjoyable to drive again, so I'd say definitely worth it for higher mileage cars.”

“Just got these bushings changed on my car. Can't comment on the stiffness on the car (and its a debate on the forums too), but the doors are closing in a much better way, no more hanging doors or resonation when shut a bit more harshly. I still need to get them to the perfect position as the passenger door does get slightly stuck when trying to open it.”
