“Definitely better than the broken one it replaced. It's a pain to get it over the flanged base of the gear lever, but I had success by sticking the gear lever in the freezer for half an hour, and putting the washer in a mug of boiling water. You only have a few seconds after fishing it out of the boiling water to install it - if it doesn't go, stick it back in the water again. Worked for me anyway!”
