“Superb seat for road and occasional track use. I was hesitant at first as I wondered why they were not FIA certified but this is because the back is not fibre glass and this is no problem for road use. They are high quality, the alcantara feels great and they're very comfortable even for longer journeys. They sit low so are great for taller drivers and for use with a roll bar. I would recommend these for anyone with a road MX5.”

“Bofi came to the rescue when I was struggling to find anyone with stock of these. These seats fit perfect in your MX5, with no interference with door cards etc. Saying that it’s still fiddly work getting any fixed seats mounted to the car floor but well worth the effort. I managed to get some spacers machined up at work so I could retain the original seat belts as well as harnesses…just remember to source an passenger seat occupancy emulator if you have passenger airbag :)”

“Great looking seat that is narrow and comfortably fits within an NB. I'm 6'3" with a 34" waist and a 44" chest, the seat is snug at the base and very snug on the shoulders (my fault for buying an MX5). I already had some Destroy or Die mounts when I bought the seat, just note if you're buying these mounts you can get lower than standard seats but not quite as far back, although the thinner foam does compensate. There is around a 30mm gap from the back of the seat to the bulkhead in the farthest back position.”

“Happy with the quality of these seats, I used the Destory seat brackets and unfortunately couldn’t get them as low as I wanted due to the way the seat is shaped but other than that all good.”

“Very happy with this alcantara bucket seat, it fits absolutely perfectly into my NC MK3 with enough room to slide your fingers down either side in order to adjust the slider rails. Unusual two screw holes either side of the bucket seat for maximum adjustment in both height and tilt. Very comfortable on both short and long leisure journeys as well as being able to keep you in place during a lap round a track. Well made, good quality and light weight bucket seat that ticks all the boxes.”

“I was sceptical of buying a non-approved seat but honestly, these things are awesome. I swapped out a set of Cobra Suzuka’s which probably sounds mad but these fit in my NA much, much better. Pair them with the Tuckin99 side slider rails and you can get the drivers seat to the point where you can’t fit your hand between it and the floor of the car while still being able to move the seat. If you do go that route, you’ll need 4x10 mm standoff spacers to fit those rails with this seat and some 30-35 mm length M8 bolts. You also can’t fit the screw on handle for the rail slider if you put the seats as low as possible but that’s really no big deal, replace the handle with whatever you like, I used an all thread cap end. Also, if you dig around a bit, you’ll find that the Car Make Corn’s seats look suspiciously identical to these seats right down to the rubber gaskets for the belt holes. Make of that what you will but these things get delivered quickly and cost half as much…”
