“Quick delivery and the best price I could find. I followed the Bofi instructions and it is true removing the old one was the hardest part. I resorted to a thin angle grinder disc and a cold chisel after breaking my bearing puller. This was followed by a discussion with my wife about using the freezer and the oven. So with the shaft at -18 overnight and the bearing at 100 degrees, I quickly dropped the bearing on to the shaft and with one small tap using a hammer and a piece of plastic waste pipe it went all the way home. Very satisfying, even more so than getting a USB stick in the right way round first try. My tip: prepare the shaft well with fine wet and dry, put the spacer shim on the shaft the right way round before chilling over night in a zip-loc plastic bag. This reduces the condensation and stops you sausages tasting of red line diff oil!”
