“A lot of reviews say it makes a minimal difference but I found it makes a noticeable difference in the fact that each shift feels much more precise it makes it feel like you are either in gear or not there’s no play to move around once you’ve selected a gear. Combined with fresh gearbox oil and a weighted shifter it’s perfect”

“Required modifying to fit as it should. The bush was extremely tight to the point it would not allow the shifter to move back to the centre. After sanding it down with a Dremel and getting the correct fit it has been extremely nice however, a lot more feel through the gear knob and a good improvement for the cost. Perhaps on a more worn-out shifter, it would have fit better or I got extremely unlucky.”

“I have just installed the Jass performance bronze shifter bush on my 2007 MX5 NC and the initial indications are that the gear changes have become better (more pronounce / direct in the stick movement) I also add that I installed a new gearstick guide plate as the old one was worn along the 1st and 2nd gear alignment edge. Also, the gear turret was dry so I refilled with new GL5 gear oil. So a combination of these ugrades have made the whole gear changing experience much better.”
