A quality item, well packaged, capable of handling your turbo requirements.

An absolute must for turbo or supercharging! Also quieter then the 255 wilbro alternative, if you are paying to put performance parts into your car, you might as well stretch out a bit for the superior part!

Putting the cat amongst the pigeons, I wonder how many people have compared the Walbro and Deatschwerks pumps back to back? I rate Deatschwerks 200 more highly than the universally used and recommended Walbro 255 for two reasons… Firstly despite the numeric names, both pumps are rated to flow the same 255lpm, so they really are as good as identical in performance- and they both work perfectly. But the Deatschwerks pump is much, much quieter. Why are we bothering about that I hear you say, we have turbo’d our cars and they are already ridiculously noisy. Well, that just shows you how blinking irritating the Walbro pump is for noise. Bearing in mind I had a mispent youth playing in bands and I am consequently quite deaf, it’s very loud for a fuel pump, much louder than the OEM unit, and anyone who has installed one for road use who takes the occasional long trip will have been at least irritated by it when idling or in stop/start traffic …..but like I did probably convinced themselves it’s ok because of the effort and cost involved in installing it. But be in no doubt, the Deatschwerks is night and day quieter, just like the OEM unit, you can’t tell it’s there. And the second reason is a shortcoming of the Walbro pump which I can’t compare to the Deatschwerks pump. I replaced the Walbro because an incompetent garage ran my car out of fuel and (presumably, I wasn’t there) kept trying to start the car and burned out the fuel pump. Pumps do fail when run dry, I imagine this voids any warranty and you can’t really criticise Walbro in this example, but I nevertheless would have thought the pump would survive low level abuse. It didn’t. So if you have a Walbro pump and you run out of petrol, don’t keep trying to start it, my experience is that it may well fail. I should add for fairness and balance, this is not a test I have put the Deatschwerks 200 through and nor do I intend to. The Deatschwerks pump comes in £20- £30 more expensive, a small amount in a turbo budget and pocket money well spent in my view. The crowd says buy the Walbro, but I wonder whether they are really right….

I was experiencing fuel starvation symptoms with a more powerful engine and standard pump (NBFL) It's. a like for like replacement apart from the wiring which needs to be spliced into the existing connection. Started up first turn of the key after priming and is no noisier than the standard pump. Definitely helped solve fuel starvation issue.
