“My original cam cover gasket was looking it's 33 years of age. I bought a genuine replacement gasket, they cost a little more than aftermarket ones, but the original one had given 33 years of service, so it was cheap looking at it that way. Obviously the gasket fitted and it was oil tight. Sometimes it pays to buy genuine parts.”
