“I am really pleased, in fact surprised at how good these pickups sound in my Fender Player Mustang. They are bright with great clarity and not thick mid based. I couldn't live with the noise level of the original Fender P90 pickups and the Armstrong HP90s are dead quiet.
I was a bit hesitant at first especially where a test review of the best P90s described the HP90s as aggressive with a sound that best fits metal music due to the crunchiness. I don't believe they could have actually heard these pickups because that is simply not true. The HP90s are not aggressive high output they are a fantastic sweet P90 single coil tone.
In summary these are great, noiseless P90 pickups at a good price.”
