“The pickguard for the SG was made exactly the right shape from sending Armstrong music my original pickguard. The process was fast and the results were exactly what I wanted”
“I was getting rather desperate to find an acceptable replacement for the broken and faded pickguard on my Aria FA-71. I’d tried drilling a very nice expensive celluloid one to fit the volume and tone pots and that promptly broke in two (rookie error I guess), then I found a 4-ply one for an L-4C which drilled OK but I was never totally happy with the size or the colour (too small and much redder than it appeared on their website). In a last ditch attempt I contacted Armstrong Music because they’d recently supplied me with a very good handmade 12-pole neck-mount humbucker for the same guitar and asked if they possibly did custom pickguards. Dan made the whole ordering process very easy: I just sent him a paper template (not difficult for anyone with moderate tracing skills) specified the material and in exactly a week back came a very precisely cut, high quality pickguard that fit perfectly. For just £57.95 I think that’s an absolute bargain!”
