“Started feeding ecopond tadpole food as soon as they began swimming free of their spawn-jelly. Very high survival rate so far of healthy hungry energetic tadpoles. I will start adding in increasing amounts of high protein 'late stage' food as the populaton starts developing back legs. I'm expecting happy chaos once 'Graduation Day' arrives!”

“My tadpoles do seem to enjoy the late Stage food, but don't have the sense to go for it when it's sitting on the top of the water. So I poke some of it under the surface and that works. I have a second small pond this year (lots of frog spawn in first one) and the tadpoles in the second pond are behaving differently to the others. Not interested in anything I've offered, even lettuce, which the others love!”
