I now have two of your Squirrel Busters neither of which are remotley squirrel, proof. The one I bought recently is the one illustrated.. The squirrels managed to bring it down within two hours of me putting it up, The top fixing ring is a very broad inverted V which the squirrels were able to unhook very easily. I reinforced the ring with some fine wire but the squirrels were then able to disconect the feeder so that the large section with the seeds fell to the ground, and the black plastic tube was left hanging on the hook. I thimk they do this by swinging the feeder so that it disconnects internally.. The earlier purchest is the one with the long tube to hold the seed. I saw the squirrel swing the feeder so thet the supporting wire loop became disconnected from one of the side holes in the outside clear plastiic tube so that it all fell to the ground. I discarded the wire loop and replaced it with soft wire to support the feeder and then hold the green metal cap in place. This has held the feeder up but it is a bit difficult to refill with seeds. Neither of these feeders are fit for purpose and I would like to receive your response.

Thank you for getting in touch and for sharing your experience with the Squirrel Buster feeders. This is very odd as the Squirrel Buster range is one of the most highly regarded on the market and is widely sold by many retailers throughout the UK. In fact, thousands have been sold with overwhelmingly positive feedback, and we’ve not received reports of the issues you've described in any previous reviews. That said, I do understand that a member of our team has already been in contact with you to help resolve this matter, and I trust they are working with you toward a suitable outcome. Kind regards, The Ark Wildlife Team.

Our squirrels seem to spend their lives working out how to out-smart us. We have feeders hung from large fir trees on very long lengths of wire. The squirrels worked out that by hanging from quite wobbly branches, they could leap across to hang on the feeders. If they manage to hang on up-side-down, they can still access the food. We then hung the feeders on even longer wires, which are quite close to the ground. They realised that by jumping up from the ground, they could reach them and hey-presto, access the food. However, this Squirrel Buster appears to have solved the problem, as it shuts when they hang on to it! Watch this space - who knows what else they will think of!

So far the Squirrel Buster is working perfectly. A squirrel has tried but failed, but the birds love it

This feeder really does what it says on the box, it's well engineered and well built, the birds I think find it easy to feed from as I have to top it up every day now....good buy.

A good price for a quality bird feeder. Keeps the jackdaws off.

It is easy to fill the feeder. The squirrels try hard to access the bird seed. As far as I can see, they don’t succeed!

It does what it says it will do. It is well made and of good quality. However, the photos of the product should show the whole item. The hanging hook provided is only a small metal triangle, difficult to hang from a tree branch. The photos don't show this.
