Exactly what I needed!!! I was forever running out of bird food thanks to the crows which also scared off the song birds. I bought a similar version of this with the weighted opening ports but the crows managed to work out they could go between the ports by swinging. This one prevents that and I’ve seen a decline in crows and definitely more song birds

When I first put it up the dreaded parakeets would try and swing from one perch whilst trying to twist round and feed from another. Glad to say that after a few days they've given up and gone elsewhere for an easier life! The feeder is now working well and only the local great tits are using it. Already saving what I paid for this in sunflower seeds - only half filled it lasts for many weeks. Very solid feeder and hopefully will last a good few years.

It's a very well made feeder holding an impressive amount of seeds and works well. The only flaw for me is that I had hoped that it would stop the big flock of parakeets which comes every day, from eating everything, leaving nothing for the smaller birds. But the parakeets quickly learned to hang onto the ports by their claws without putting any weight on the perch, and so could eat the sunflower seeds. I like the parakeets but wanted to have just one of my feeders that they couldn't access. The only way to stop. them, I think, would be a wider diameter steel cage which they couldn't reach through.
