All the birds who fly into our garden for a meal always enjoy these mealworms. In fact, I think I am feeding half the borough at times as they all descend in our garden, and wait in an orderly queue for their turn.

Thank you so much for your review. We just want to take the opportunity to help you support your garden visitors safely, as there is lots of mis-information online regarding what hedgehogs can or cannot eat. Just a quick note: mealworms have a very poor calcium-to-phosphorus ratio, which can lead to metabolic bone disease (MBD) in hedgehogs, if fed often or as a main diet. This serious condition can weaken their bones and cause long-term health problems, resulting in fatalities. For a healthy, balanced diet, we suggest offering specially formulated hedgehog food that’s rich in essential nutrients, and designed to support their health and wellbeing. Alternatively, cat and dog food can be offered. We hope this information helps to keep your hedgehogs happy and healthy! 🦔🌿
