I watched two days of squirrels and Parakeets puzzling out how to get in. Only one young slim necked Parakeet got his head through but the effort was such he has now gone to the fat balls at the end of the garden with all the others and I have an amazing to and froing of small birds on the Seed Guardian Feeder: Tits of all sorts, Greenfinches, Sparrows and Goldcrests. I'd definitely recommend it.

I looked extensively for a good bird feeder and this one met my criteria - it's sturdy, multiple entry points for desired birds, the feed is too far in for jackdaw or woodpecker to reach, the feeding chamber is tight and remains dry, the lid lifts off for easy daily refilling - BINGO!

Only our small birds can access the food! Brilliant. Feeder is very sturdily made & easy to fill. Will keep our old feeder for starlings!

Using it for mealworms and it keeps off the greedy starlings and the little birds love it. Perfect.

Finally, a bird feeder that actually keeps starlings out! I had nearly given up looking after several feeders failed to live up to expectations. It took a few days, but gradually I started seeing frequent visitors to the feeder. It was lovely to watch tits and other small birds eat in peace. It’s not that I don’t like starlings, but they can be greedy, noisy and overwhelming for the little ones. Placing different feeding stations around the garden gives everyone a chance to be supported. This feeder is well constructed. My only complaint is that the wire hanger pops out of its slot when filling, but it’s easily pushed back into place.

Totally keeps the starlings from bullying the smaller birds, they get all their feed now. I have a separate feeder that the starlings can use so both are happy.

The jackdaws that had been demolishing our seed supplies have not been able to reach it with this guardian feeder, which allows the tits, finches and robins a chance to feed.
