“The blue tits are using the feeder after a couple of days. A very crafty starling has worked out how to squeeze his head in - he heartily recommends it! I have repositioned the feeder with the aid of cable ties.”

“Maybe I’m missing something. The butter pots are a little too small for this so the bigger burds just rock it so that it falls out of the holder then they can get to it. If put a cable tie around the pot and it seems to now work as it should but there was no mention of this ..”

Thank you for your feedback. The holder you've purchased is designed specifically to support the larger glass Flutter Butter jars, not the smaller plastic Flutter Butter pods. If you're trying to use it with the pods, that would explain why they’re not fitting securely and may be getting dislodged by larger birds. We appreciate your ingenuity in finding a temporary solution with the cable tie, but for the best fit and performance, we’d recommend using the holder with the intended jar size. “It is a useful add to the garden as we were finding the open feeders were quickly taken over by squirrels, This feeder has prevented that although it is primarily designed for the larger jars. We are using up our smaller jars by securing the butter to the frame. The cage is accessible by your starlings which can be quarrelsome, but it is preventing squirrels.”
