“I would have given five stars as it is really nice and well made. However all of my garden squirrels can get in easily (and they are not small squirrels as I have already set up a squirrel feeder for them). My main aim was to deter the large flock of feral pigeons I have visiting and it has worked well on that score, as long as the food is placed in the middle so they can't crane their necks in. I chose the large mesh as I wanted the blackbirds and starlings to be able to get in. The blackbirds and small birds started using it on the first day I set it up so that's good.”

“The cage has stopped the pigeons eating all the ground food I put out for the blackbirds, wagtails and other smaller birds. The pigeons still try to put their necks through but cannot reach anything that is towards the middle of the cage, it has stopped them in their tracks!”

“I bought the larger mesh cage to allow blackbirds in but stop squirrels and pigeons. Within seconds squirrels entered the cage stopping all birds from feeding. So useless for ground feeding. I have decided to try it out as a cage on top of my bird pole by tying it onto the hooks.. It already has a baffle to stop squirrels but pigeons are a nuisance. So far the pigeons have been stopped but sadly the blackbirds are unable to feed as they can't enter it in the air. So would not reccommend the larger mesh as it does not stop squirrels. Might as well have bought the smaller mesh.”

“Works really well against pigeons and starlings can enter. Left top door off as suggested by another to make it easier for them.”
