I decided to buy one of these at the end of June to see if it would distract our squirrels from trying (unsuccessfully) to get into the bird feeders. It took about two weeks before they realised they could chew it. Since then they've been gnawing on it frequently every day. The remaining piece disappeared yesterday so they obviously carried it off. Time to replace it in the knowledge that it's keeping them healthy and occupied.

Hedgehog hasn't started on it yet...but it's a good sized piece.

We are blessed with all manner of wildlife and want to see them healthy and thriving. The antler segments will provide essential calcium and good gnawing opportunities for our creatures.

They don't seem to like it. I might not be doing it right, but they haven't even nibbled it yet.

Thank you for your review. Natural fallow deer antlers are a fantastic long-lasting chew for squirrels, but as with any new item, they may take a little time to investigate and start using it. Squirrels rely heavily on scent when foraging, so it can take a little while for them to become familiar with the antler before they start nibbling. We recommend placing the antler in an area where your squirrels regularly feed and allowing them time to sniff it out. Once they recognise it as a natural source of minerals, they’re likely to start enjoying it! We've even seen other customers attach the antler to their squirrel feeder! If you have any questions, we’re always happy to help.
