“Convenient solution for breastfeeding moms, light and effortless to put on, strong suction that empties my breasts effectively, comfortable to wear without causing discomfort!”
“The loudest setting is akin to an angry wasp and on the quietest it’s as quiet as a mouse, well, not really-a mouse is noisy by comparison.
There is a card in the box with a QR code linking to a How to Use video. It’s not very good, the videos in the listing are more comprehensive. However, the most informative is the booklet in with the pumps.
Everything you need is included in the box, even bra extenders-a very handy addition!
This Ardo Melia pump is compact and lightweight. It’s very well made and easy to assemble. I do have a problem with separating the 2 parts though. Because they’re curved my fingers find it difficult to grasp the motor unit, even with the studded area designed to help with grip. However, a finger nail in the join soon sorts that issue. I’ve had the same problem with other breast pumps, so perhaps it’s my finger and thumb that are too smooth. I’ll have to take up bricklaying!
There are cutouts in the sides of the box to size your nipples. A brilliant idea that I haven’t seen with other breast pumps and it makes finding the right size so much easier. The trickiest part of actually using the pump is making sure your nipple is centred. However, after a few practice runs it soon becomes second nature.
I understand why there is a 20 minute cut off feature-and sometimes find it annoying! I would much prefer if it had an option to be switched off or allow the user to alter the length of time. In mitigation the unit remembers the settings so it’s just a case of turning it on again.
Once pumping’s finished there is a build in pourer that helps prevent spilt milk. There are so many thoughtful touches, such as this, with this pump. Right from the moment you open the box you get the impression that Ardo Melia care about their customers.
Cleaning is usually an issue with breast pumps; that’s not so with this model though. Everything is compact and curved, with no hard to reach nooks and crannies.
This breast pump is far from being the cheapest on Amazon. But for ease of use, quality and peace of mind it’s well worth investing in this Ardo Melia model.”
“After obtaining this for friend whom has recently had a baby she provided the following feedback.
After figuring out how to use the pumps, which is pretty easy to get to grips with she found the comfort to be very good. The suction has 15 different levels to choose from, between 4 different modes, which really helps with achieving the most comfortable setting. It did not hurt at all, a very natural experience.
One of the biggest positives was the portability, no need to sit in one place, she could still move around and be active as the pumps did their thing. Battery life is good.
After using the process to clean was very easy, taking only a few minutes but there is also the option to shove everything straight into the dishwasher for extra convenience.
The build quality is strong and solid but still crafted for maximum comfort.
All in all, she highly recommends these pumps.”
“Breast milk gives a baby the best nutritional start in life, so utilising every drop is really important. What I find very reassuring is that this pump is produced by a company that is WHO (World Health Organisation) code compliant. This is a code adopted in 1981 by the World Health Assembly to promote 'the provision of safe and adequate nutrition for infants, by the protection and promotion of breast-feeding'. I think this is excellent news and should reassure any user.
Breast pumps come in all shapes and prices and while this isn't the most expensive option out there it's certainly not a budget buy.
I would always recommend a powered pump rather than manual for a number of reasons -
• Consistency of rhythm - manual pumping is tiring on the hands and rhythm can be interrupted.
• Consistency of suction - this has four different modes with fifteen levels available in each mode.
• Consistency of experience for mum - once a comfortable level has been established it's easy to maintain or adjust meaning mum will probably continue breastfeeding for longer.
• Hands free - a winner all round.
There's everything needed to start milk collection and this has two pumps which is excellent - both can be used simultaneously or one can be in use while baby is feeding. There are two breast shells and nipple adapters included, other sizes can be purchased separately, because as we know, one size most definitely doesn't fit all.
Milk removal is simple though it may be an idea to have extra storage available in case the pump stimulates more milk production than is required. Assembly, cleaning and maintenance is easy and instructions are clear and easy to follow. NOTE - there are a couple of very informative and useful videos on the listing that I'd recommend watching.
No breast pump is ever completely invisible but this is pretty discreet and I really like that there are bra strap extenders designed for use with nursing bras included - this is a thoughtful touch since popping the pump into a bra cup will inevitably temporarily increase breast size and an extended strap will increase comfort for mum.
At £159 (as at 18 March 2025) this is not a budget option, it's undeniably expensive, but this might be an investment worth making for any mum wanting to breastfeed for as long as possible.”
“The Ardo Melia double breast pump is a fantastic time-saving device, allowing me to express milk while tackling household chores. While they may feel a bit unusual at first, especially for those new to breast pumps, you quickly get used to them and forget you're even wearing them. They're not overly noisy, though in a quieter environment, you may hear a gentle hum as they work. However, this isn't an issue when you're at home. The pumps feature multiple settings, including four expression modes, though I usually stick with the automatic mode, and 15 vacuum levels to choose from. Charging is simple with the included USB cables, and I typically recharge them overnight, ready for the next day. Overall, these pumps are of excellent quality, and considering the set includes two, the price is quite reasonable. I would highly recommend them.”
“Great shape easy to wear really having a pair makes a difference
I love that you can wear them while walking around they look relatively discreet. The shape is superb as they have the built-in cup as well.
Superb instruction manual very comprehensive great graphics great descriptions very detailed information
Great, how easy to turn on as the buttons on top so you just have to look down and see which you press the button the LED light display very easy to see very easy to follow really impressive 15 individual vacuums so you just suit the one that suits you. I really like that auto cut off after about 20 minutes so if you’ve not finished or you are tired, it will automatically do it for you brilliant
What I find that this has a nice massage mode. This helps the expression of milk so you can set it up through the automatic mode from start to finish which begins with a light vacuum and increases as more and more milk flows brilliant
Just come with a high price point, but this is exceptional piece of kit. Highly recommend.”
“I got this pump to make expressing milk easier while juggling daily tasks, and overall, it does a good job.
The pump is quiet compared to others I’ve tried, which makes it discreet when using it in public or at work. It’s also easy to clean, with the parts being dishwasher safe, which saves a lot of time. The fact that it’s BPA and BPS free is reassuring, as safety is always a priority.
One downside is the battery life. While it’s rechargeable, I found it doesn’t last as long as I’d like, especially if using it multiple times throughout the day. It also takes a bit of time to fully charge, so keeping a power bank handy is a good idea. The milk collection shells are a good size, but they could be slightly more secure to prevent leaks if moving around too much.
Overall, this is a great option for mums who need flexibility and convenience. A longer-lasting battery and a bit more leak protection would make it even better.”
