“As it says on the tin, budget hotel. The IBIS at Manchester was a convenient place to stay before an early flight. It was clean and quiet and had a kettle and drinks facilities. Didn’t use, but there was a restaurant and bar downstairs. Would use again if leaving from Manchester.”
“Quick over night stop at Manchester airport for an early flight. Very clean and extremely quiet room - small but everything you need. Would definitely use again.”
“As a 2 star, it was just a place to sleep before our flight, so not huge expectations. It has a communal area on the ground floor for sitting, eating, a bar and I assume breakfast (we were out at 4am). The service from the staff was good, but we have given a 3 star review as when we arrived there was a stain on the bed. It looked like dry blood, but could have been coffee, but the thought of it was not inviting. I spoke to the reception staff who came up and apologised and arranged for it to be changed. This meant we had to wait for around 30 minutes out of our room, but at least it was solved quickly. The reception staff gave us a free drink from the bar to compensate, which we thought was really nice. The rooms were compact but serviceable and fine for sleeping a few hours and getting a shower. The hotel reminded me of an upper market hostel, again I’ll reiterate it is 2 star and it is right by terminal 2, so it was cheap for its location any way.”
“This really is budget, but it was perfect if you have an early flight to catch. The food in the Ibis didn’t look great, but the food in the Turkish restaurant in the Hotel over the road which is a sister hotel to the Ibis was absolutely amazing. Yes I would definitely recommend.”
“Very nice hotel. Stayed in a IBIS Budget in Southampton and the one in Manchester is far better. Nice and tidy and very comfy. On the doorstep of our Terminal as well”
