“The signage could be clearer when approaching the car park at the top end of the drive. The actual entrance to the park is not obvious until you are actually there. We turned right along the drive before the car park entrance, and had to turn back.
We found that the walk to the terminus is nearer 10 minutes with luggage.”
“East Midlands Mid Stay 1 carpark is not suitable for anyone who has difficulties walking and pulling a suitcase, it is quite a treck to the terminal and was pretty full at 2:30am. I personally will not opt for this one again as I am aware there are closer parking areas. The car was safe and security is good.”
“I checked this car park had disabled bays. The website said it was only a 2 minute walk from the terminal.
It did have some bays, but it was no way a 2 minute walk. Not for a disabled person using a crutch and trying to wheel their suitcase on the cambered pavement and across roads.
Whilst I was happy travelling from East Midlands airport, I would have to think twice given the distance of the parking for disabled blue badge holders from the terminal building.”
