“When we arrived at East Midlands Airport Short Stay 2, our car registration was not recognised, and we had to ring the guy and he let us in and arranged for a token to be dropped in the box for us to collect to exit the car park on our return.
We felt that our booking with APH just had not been recognised at the automatic barrier.
Imagine our shock when we kept driving and driving round the car park, and there was only ONE space left, towards the rear of the car park, and in a cramped car parking space. This space was clearly not a large space, and we have a large SUV. We noticed that other vehicles had parked in unauthorised spots, clearly giving us the impression that the car park was grossly overbooked.
When we returned from our holiday, our car was blocked in pretty tightly, and it took us some time to manoeuvre the car out of the space.
We will not be using Short Stay 2 car park again.”
