“The hotel is great, always stay the night before an early flight. Unfortunately when I booked this as a package with the parking, it was not so clear that the budget rooms are different to the standard rooms. I was pretty shocked when I opened the door and found we were staying the night in a borstal/prison room. We paid £80 to upgrade. If you don’t mind cheap and it’s just a bed for your stay, then go budget as it was clean and serviceable. Just one pillow each mind and very small TV.
In future I’ll book it all separately so I know what I’m getting. The hotel , food and staff are great and proximity to airport is perfect.”
“It is right next to Departures so very convenient for Birmingham flights. The rooms have absolutely everything you could need for an overnight. Lots of sockets, charger points, separate loo, long mirror, soundproof windows, tea making facilities. The only thing it lacked was a small fridge.”
“We booked a twin room and did not get allocated a twin room. When we questioned this we were told it had been allocated to others who needed it and there were no twin rooms left. The toilet did not flush. The shower was poor. Given how much is charged for this room, it’s a very budget room with a ridiculously high and unjustified price. Five of us stayed here, none of us were impressed and will not be returning.”
“Terrible room, really hard bed, bedside light and sink light not working, filthy windows. Massive queue on arrival, issues with room card not working so we had to queue again . Kitchen was only partially operational so we were told to go to Novotel next door.”
