“Perfect for flights from Birmingham. There is a one minute walk to Departures. We stayed at the Ibis Hotel which is only a 3 minute walk from the car park. Plenty of spaces to park. Good signage from the motorway and simple, automatic exit.”

It's not well-signposted, with a small filter exit sign off a roundabout amidst the multiple billboard jungle of roadways and huge signs to read as you come in to the airport.
Number-plate recognition opens barriers - except on our entry our barrier was already locked upright open, with green lights, so we had to resolve the uncertainty as to whether it had noted our arrival by inter phone inside. It hadn't!
Finding empty parking spaces inside is a nightmare. Each level has many rows full of vehicles already. There are no indications of where to look. Good luck.
Take a photo of the number of your space under your car as you walk off to your flight - let your phone camera remember the floor and space numbers you were parked on! You'll be glad you did!
