“I recently purchased a large line printer 70 x 73cm & 103cm high weighing 100kg and while it is on castors I still had to somehow navigate two front steps around 20cm high each with a 2m x 2m landing in between to get it into the house.
It was too big and heavy to safely lift up each step and what I really needed was a ramp (or 2 of them) to bypass the steps and initially couldn't find a suitable ramp until I hit on using a wheel chair ramp as a possible solution.
I then went looking for some affordable wheelchair ramps and purchased this one (6ft) and a smaller one (4ft) that would fit on the landing - and within 10 minutes of getting home with them from the Always Direct Warehouse I had them setup and the printer safely in the house.
When comparing prices Always Direct was the best option as it was much cheaper than the excessive prices at some web stores plus it also had stock while many other stores did not of the length ramps I needed. Too short and the printer would be too heavy to push up the ramp, too long and it wouldn't fit on the landing. So for any heavy delivery these sort of ramps make getting the goods in the house by yourself much easier.
These wheelchair ramps are high quality, light weight but still sturdy and have a non-slips surface coating to assist with traction. This model also folds up into 1/4 (with a retaining chain to keep them closed) and is easy to carry around as being made of aluminum they are quite light, The 100kg weight of the printer was barely noticeable when pushing up the ramps neither of which sagged that much when doing so. Both ramps are rated at 270kg so with the ramp setup it would be quite easy to get either a wheelchair or mobility scooter safely in the house safely secure from theft.
