I love the look of these water shoes! I usually wear a 9 but ordered an 8.5 and they fit perfect. I rated 3 stars because the smell these have directly out of the package is over powering!! I actually have a head ache from the chemical smell they're putting off. And secondly, these don't really show in the picture, but they are complete mesh all the way around. I didn't realize that when I bought them. Just sort of different than other water shoes I've had.*UPDATE 6/19/16*I used these for a float trip this past weekend with friends. The river was low so we did had to pull our rafts through rocks quite often. I walked on big rocks, little rocks, over tree limbs in the water, up a bank with sharp larger rocks to jump off and these water shoes held up SO well. The tongue irritated my foot at first, but after I wore them for awhile I didn't notice. As I stated above I got a HALF size smaller (usually a 9 but ordered a 8.5) and they were perfect! Not too tight, and didn't slide around or come off in the water. I am changing my star rating to a 4 because of how impressed I am of the durability of these! And.... they are extremely stylish!

I ordered these shoes as an afterthought when ordering a couple of suits. Currently, I have a few pair of LandsEnd Oxfords (no longer available), which have an adjustable draw elastic over the foot to keep them in place. These particular shoes pull on fairly easily. They were not hugely oversized, but felt like they would fall off in the water and on land. The elastic ties could not be adjusted. I ordered my normal shoe size - 8. I am not sure if a half-size smaller would make a lot of difference. The shoes were light-weight and seemed to dry fairly fast. They are not as padded and comfortable as my other water shoes, and I don't feel I could wear them for hours walking around before I get to the pool (as I have with my other shoes). However, I think they would be good in the sand at the beach if they would not fall off. I took them and my old shoes to the pool yesterday. I tried both pair in the water. Though less comfortable, these shoes did stay on in the water while I jumped around a lot, but were a little scratchy feeling.

I use these for water walking in a swimming pool to reduce feet getting cement scrapes. They serve the purpose.

Used these shoes for white water rafting and hiking up waterfalls in Costa Rica. Everyone was asking me where I purchased them! I almost returned them before my trip and went with another pair but I'm glad a kept these. They work great. Only complaint it that rocks get stuck inside the shoe easily. Had to keep washing the little pebbles out.

Used these for the first time last weekend for a kayaking trip. LOVE! Fit and feel just like tennis shoes. Great support, cushion, and grip.
