“I did a 23 mile hike in a Southern Utah slot canyon with these. I needed shoes that would allow me to walk up a running creek bed with lots of sand. So I bought these. They worked well except for one problem, they have holes in the bottom designed for the water to run in and out but they have a layer of cloth above that. This allows the sand to come in and get trapped under the pad. The shoes become extremely bulky and uncomfortable with sand trapped in them. I had to cut the cloth pad so I could continually wash the trapped sand out. In hindsight, I would just use a very simple rubber shoe (I have used these in the past) with no cloth layers. These protect your feet but sediment can wash in and out as you walk (both good and bad). As a plus, I was able to do some fairly technical rock climbing while wearing these. The quality is such that they would last for several long good hikes, but that is it. I would consider these more or less a disposable shoe that are not good for any long sandy exposure use.”
“I love the water shoes. Very comfortable, and fit me perfectly. My only complaint is the first pair I ordered came with 2 right foot insoles. I returned them and the 2nd pair was the way it should be. I highly recommend the shoes.”
