“I bought these shoes for a 7 nighter in the Boundary Waters. I knew they'd take a beating with all the portages and shore lunches, and they held up very well. I never had an issue with the inserts. The mesh was perfect: very small rocks that didn't bother me kind of came and went but the big ones never made it through. They dried fast and had plenty of grip when walking on boulders to climb waterfalls. They're definitely not in a condition to last another trip, but for the price, can't be beat.”
