“The size was fine, but the material on the top is so rough it rub a hole in my toes on both feet. The soft material in the toe area is too small to cover the little toe and next toe in. I will never be wearing these again.”
“I can run in these better than I can flip flops. I like knowing I have the ability to run if needed. Usually I don't need to. I do have children that are not old enough to swim yet... so the ability to run when needed is important to me.Plus they don't make that flip flop noise. I dun like that.”
“These were great! I ordered a pair for my boyfriend and myself for our trip to Jamaica. They were very comfortable and look much better than the typical water shoe. My only issue is that rocks tend to get stuck in the sole but that wasn't inconvenient enough to sway my opinion.”
“Shoes are very light weight wich is good but the laces are fake and dont tie they slip on but the tongue of the shoes folds in and very flimsy and balls up while walking. Shells and rocks get stuck in the holes in the bottom of shoes. Although good for sand. The sole of the shoe has holes in it wich sucks.”
“I'm torn between giving these shoes 5 or 1 stars.I purchased these shoes for a trip to Phuket, Thailand. I knew I would be in beach, around pools, and walking city streets so I needed an amphibious shoe so I could go from place to place seamlessly. I liked the look, I liked the reviews, I ordered them. The Good and why I should have given them 5 starts:They fit perfectly. I read a review that suggested people order 1/2 to a full inch below their usual shoe size... I didn't find that to be the case. I ordered my usual size and they felt as good as any other shoe (I always wore these barefoot - no socks).Walking on the beach, they got sandy, but it never really bothered me. Especially b/c the sand can be shaken off easily after a few minutes.Walking on concrete, they felt as confortable as any other shoe I have ever owned. They certainly performed as expected.... for about a day.The Bad and why I gave them 1 star:While these shoes fit as expected and they are comfortable in beach and street alike, there are problems that make me want to tell everyone to go with another shoe style (without a tongue at the instep and a different design for the bottom). The tongue is attached to the instep of the shoe with what appears to be a drop of glue on each side. When I 1st received these I saw that and immediately got worried. I searched through the reviews but no one mentioned a problem with this so I figured that they would hold up after all. They didn't. After 1 day of slipping these shoes off and on 5 or 6 times, the tongue was detached (see pics). All of the sudden, I experienced many of the complaints described by other reviewers, namely the metal eye-holes rubbing against the instep and them feeling loose when in water.I would STRONGLY recommend getting ones that wrap around foot, without a tongue. I am going to see if I can sew these up, from toe to instep onto the shoe so that it permanently covers the metal eye-holes and the tongue is fixed in place that way. There are a number of reviewers complaining about the bottom of the shoe. Most complain about pebbles and small granite rocks getting stuck on the bottom. This didn't happen to me, but I can see how it easily could happen.I experienced another problem with the bottom of the shoes. the insole is very absorbent, like a sponge. It is also porous. The sole has holes of varying size, with the ones toward the toes being as wide as a thumb. This facilitates soaking up of liquids on the ground. When walking on the street, I had to jump over puddles the same way I would if I had been barefoot. I didn't care about the 1st one I encountered, and it was barely a puddle. I stepped on it, and the bottom of my foot got drenched.”
