About Spicentice:

Back in 1994 when founder, Ketan Varu, was at university, his mum sent him recipes and spices to make real Indian curries that would remind him of home. Pretty soon all his friends were hooked and the idea for Spicentice was born.

All these years later Spicentice is very much a family business (with mum, Manjula, and dad, Ramnik, still making sure Ketan eats a good lunch!) and the range has grown to include Indian, Thai, Mexican, Portuguese, Cajun, Jamaican and Moroccan spice kits, along with handy tubs of herb & spice rubs.

Spicentice stands out from the crowd because of its commitment to traditional recipes that have been perfected over generations, with 100% pure herbs & spices, no waste and absolutely no nasties! Ketan now has a young family of his own and continues the tradition of cooking and sharing meals with family and friends.

“As always, the kits are delicious and very versatile. I vary which spice mix I use according to what I feel like eating, the recipes provided with each spice mix are very useful guidelines. I bought the recent offer of small bundles and included the vegan one for my grandson who was delighted with the Sri Lankan dish and made it exactly as it said on the packet! I have suggested that your bundles would benefit from being in attractive packaging as they make great gifts! It is definitely a thumbs up from me!”

“Not cooked with them yet, but got 3 recipe cards and 3 packs of spices and the recipes look nice. Ingredients are almost the same in each but I'm guessing different quantities to make different flavours.”

“Salt and pepper chicken and chips DELICIOUS, so much so I’ve ordered more. Turkish donner kebab my daughter said tasted better than from a take away and the gormet chips were yummy too!!”

“The spices are lovely and are well packed with the recipe for the meal you can make with it. Though I would suggest to change the names of the kits from “meal kits” to “spice kit” or “meal spice kit”, as it was a bit confusing for me at first to understand it was actually only a sachet of spices you got with a card of the recipe. When I see “meal kit” it can give the impression there is a bit more to it than only a sachet with spices. This of course is meant as a Positive Feedback ;-). Will buy again for sure!”
