If I had read these reviews before booking them I could have saved myself a weeks worth of hassle, time and money. Read these reviews and take them seriously. I have yet to find out if they are even capable of processing a refund... I very much doubt it, I will just have to live in hope for the next 3-5 working days. Abysmal..

Big thank you to Ash who did a brilliant job today (East Leeds). He turned up as planned and was polite and professional. Care was taken throughout the fitting and would use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Our tyre instantly blew shortly after leaving our house, I managed to get the car home and called and paid for the ‘next day fitting at home’ slot, paying extra for a morning time, knowing my wife would be at home. The following day, whilst I was on the phone I received a missed call, I called back 5 minutes later after to find the fitter had already left, saying he was busy. I asked why he didn’t have the foresight to knock on the door or ring the bell, his response “I tried to call, besides I’ve taken a photo of your car to show I was there”. My wife was in at the time and expecting him. He then said he would try and rearrange and call me back, he never did and after three calls and being cutt off, I eventually spoke to someone at the Warrington Office, the fitter had told him he couldn’t get hold of me, all he had to do was ring the bell or knock, like any reasonable person would’ve done to ascertain if someone was preset, especially as the car with the flat wheel was sat outside the house. The fitter was clearly not qualified to fit the tyre, needed an early finish and decided to skip the job, he lied and was rude on the phone saying “for fucks sake” when he thought he’d cut me off after I asked him to return. Completely unprofessional, useless, and to be honest, I’m not sure after considering ringing the doorbell I would want him to replace the tyre on our family car.

Terrible service, used a air cushion to jack up car, but it was positioned under the sill of the car not the jack point and caused it to crush, so ruinned the sill completely. I reported this to them lots of times, the never did anything about it despite my efforts, absolute idiots and caused over £400 of damage.

Absolute joke of a company, placed an order for 4 tyres and paid for a time slot, the morning of the job they cancelled saying no fitters available, my car was booked in for an mot the same day which resulted in me loosing the £50 mot fee, 2nd time round fitter advised the tyres are not compatible with the car so I have to cancel the mot again another £50 lost and now £1000 out on tyres with not fitted and waiting on refunds still, don't waste your time and money, halfords have bought these guys out and don't seem to have a clue what they are doing.

Tried to use them about 18 months ago for my van tyres. Got a phone call mid afternoon to say that not all their fitters turned up but could rearrange next day. Didn't show up again the next day so cancelled. Out of convenience, I decided to try them again for my car. Booked 8am - noon slot, phone call at 9am saying not all their fitters have turned up but can book me in for tomorrow. Told them not to bother and cancel the order and they just put the phone down. Clearly not bothered as they are that big it doesn't matter if they upset s couple of people.

What a waste of time Halfords, I booked and paid for 2 news tyres ordered on Sunday 13th and paid over £10 to confirm booking a time slot of between 2oc and 4oc it is now 7oc on Monday evening and no fitter has arrived. Phone customer service and was told the fitter is 10 to mins away and that was 4.30 no show,phoned again at 6.30 and was told they didn't no what was going on and they couldn't get in touch with the fitter. DONT USE TYRESONTHE DRIVE WHICH IS PART OF HALFORDS.

Arranged to have a replacement Halfords car battery fitted at home for my Halfords battery that had failed whilst still under its 5 year guarantee. A technician duely arrived and fitted the replacement battery. However the car would still not start. Although the replacement battery fitted was covered in dust and "looked tired" the fitter assured me that it was fully charged and OK and that the problem was not with the battery but something else with the car that he could not help me with .He then left with no further comment or assitance - Job Done! I therefore had to contact a local garage who after examining the problem informed me that the replacement battery that was fitted and I was left with was an old out of warranty battery unfit for purposeI which was the sole cause of the problem and was the only reason why the car would not start up. I trust that Halfords/TyresOnTheDrive will look into how such a disgraceful level of service was supplied by the company.

I've dealt with some dud outlets before but Halfords/Tyres On The Drive have managed to set a new low bar in customer service. Briefly, I paid to have a new car battery fitted at home at an agreed time slot one afternoon which was confirmed by email by Halfords. We waited and waited but no one came. We were expecting them to call to offer an explanation and apology but...nothing. Even their laughable customer services were unable to coax them to call. Also it took multiple calls to recover a (double charged!) refund. To this day (approaching 12 days) I've heard nothing. I'm baffled. If something goes wrong it takes nothing to pick up a phone and offer an explanation. I was beginning to take it personally until I read these and some Trustpilot reviews and realised that I have not been the first to fall foul of Halford/TOTD 'service' Be careful, fellow readers. You have been warned. (All of the above can be verified)

3 months ago I had a tyre replaced on my caravan. 4 days later i moved it and a few miles down the road at 50mph the entire wheel came off my caravan. My caravan was written off and I could well have been. Halfords accepted liability. However 3 months later I cannot get a replacement caravan because the money offered is so low. Simple i just want my caravan replaced. i have fought lawyers for the last month who wont even read the details of the case. Now having to go to court to claim back £15,000! a small amount for them so why all the fighting?? It was a bad crash and they accepted negligence but I am still cancelling vacations because they will not be fair and thoughtful. They will not even refund the £150 I paid for the tyre that bounced down a major road. Think carefully if you want to take this chance and spend months fighting for your rights!

Worst service I’ve ever received (or not received!!) from any company. Original booking slot for tyre replacement cancelled due to technician being poorly. I received 2 hours notice, and was asked to contact customer services to reschedule. The technician then turned up 3 hours before agreed time, so I missed him. He said he’d ring the office, to get them to call me back to rearrange a time, but they never did. Tried calling and emailing customer services. They were supposed to be available 8am - 8pm 7 days a week, but they were closed during a lot of this time. Was told they couldn’t fit me in on a convenient day, even when I explained the situation. They would only offer me time slots when I was at work, and couldn’t be at home without losing money. Emailed the assistant manager, even texted him asking him to fit me in on a convenient day. Received no reply or acknowledgement from emails sent to customer services, or assistant manager, even after several days. Rang customer services multiple times, and finally managed to get booked in for a slot 8 days after my initial booking. Was told by customer services that as an ‘act of goodwill’ they wouldn’t charge me for the second booking slot. Absolute joke. Obstructive and indifferent customer services and management, and the company completely ignored my attempts to resolve my problem. I used this company because they are affiliated to Halfords, a name I had trusted in the past, but no longer. Tyres on the drive? I don’t think so, but your car may be on the drive for quite some time if your daft enough to use them.

Had tyres on the drive come to fit 4tyres.they messed up the locking wheel bolt tool.and did not retighten the bolts on the n/s rear wheel.had I been driving on a fast road the wheel could have come off and I could have had a bad accident.won’t be using them again.would not recommend them to anyone

Technician never turned up. No call or communication from Halfords to explain why. Had to chase up the following day as operators were closed at the appointment time. Halfords said they didn’t know why the technician didn’t turn up and that the earliest they could get someone to me was 3 days time. Apparently thats their “emergency service”…Halfords refused to try and sort any sooner. Called a local company and they were with me within 2 hours on a Sunday.

Paid for new tyre and valve as I have had a slow puncture and thought this would fix, explained this to engineers. They failed to fit new valve, told me they had and also told me the alloy was damaged but shouldn't slow leak anymore. It did, I bought new alloy and took to local HiQ to fix and they showed me the valve was clearly old and the cause of the issue! They didn't replace valve, they lied about doing so and let us carry on driving around our children in an unsafe car!!

Called out the tyres on the drive service for my son who was away from home. Needed the locking wheel nut removal service as this was damaged. Booked this in and when the fitter arrived he said he couldn’t do it and you would need specialist service. Explained that was what we booked as per the website claim that this was exactly what we ordered and confirmed it with the help desk. Now I need to drive 400 mile trip to sort it myself. Absolute joke Halfords! Never again!

Terrible experiance, Fitter did not arrive on the schedualed date when I got a call from the manager that evening I was told he did attend waited 30 minutes and was moved on by management. As my vehicle was at work the reception is occupied 24/7 and no one saw the fitter. Got re booked for Sunday I went into the office for appointment of 08:00 - 10:00 at 07:30 got a call from the fitter and was asked if the tyres had been left with me on the Friday I said bit difficult as the reason you are coming on a Sunday was that I did not see a tyre fitter he went on to say "Someone has swipped then then so i can not come". Waste of my time on 2 occasions I went to another company Home tyre who can not do enough for you Tyres on the drive could learn alot from them. I have sent a complaint email but I doubt I will get a reply as the service has been non existent so for. Avoid and get your tyres elsewhere guys!!

I was given a slot between 4pm and 8pm. I was sent a link to check progress of fitter. That link never worked. At 6.45pm fitter called me saying he cannot come. Next day no one texted, emailed, called. I called, they put me in hold for 15 minutes. Rebooked a slot. Tired if chasing them.

Poor service and communication. Had dash cam fitted wrongly in the process they broke a piece of plastic on the door. Came out 1 week later to refit dash cam. Then measured the piece that needed replacing 17th Dec. Since then I have phoned 7 times each time being promised will be contacted to fit the part still waiting. AVOID AT ALL COST.

1. They cancelled my arranged appointment as they didn't have the tyres I had paid for. 2. Contacted me by telephone to arrange fitting and offered me an appointment on 5th January, I was unable to make that appointment due to my Mother's 80th birthday so agreed on 6th January...and as a good will gesture (expecting a voucher) they offered me a confirmed time of 10:00! 3. Got an email on 5th January to say the tyres would be fitted that day...I emailed them as per instructions in their email to say I couldn't make it and that I'd already booked the slot for 6th January! Tyre fitter turned up on 5th January but no one home as we were at my Mum's 80th birthday! 4. Spent an hour trying to get through to the call centre on the 6th of January to confirm my tyres are being fitted today. They didn't know and I had to hold on the phone while someone else was contacted. 5. I'm now waiting for an email that should arrive by the end of today...still no tyres though! 6. I thought using an established company like Halfords would make this an easy transaction...I was wrong!
