Careless work. Rude ‘customer care staff’ Unhelpful. Would never buy a persimmons house again. And wish I didn’t to begin with. Would suggest paying for an official snagger as there are countless errors on the houses.

Avoid! Bathroom lights gone in a year. Rusting on radiators. Poor customer service and told miss information from their team. Impossible to speak to anyone in charge to get things resolved. You have to chase them. They won’t come back to you or acknowledge emails etc. Bought the home December 2021. The customer service wasn’t great. Took 6-9 months to get basic things resolved. The quality of the homes are also quite poor. Eg holes in random areas, no stopcock for taps or toilets etc. you can hear everything through the walls. The land is also privately owned by Remus. So have to pay council tax and a extra service charge. House is freehold. Even though land is privately owned people keep parking. Service charge gone up by 30% this year. Have a feeling it will go up and up each year and we have to pay it. Bit of a cheeky scam! I’d advise buying an older house and refurbishing it. Not worth the money for a new build home. Plus the drama getting things fixed etc. The internet provider is also limited. Have to use persimmon homes internet company. Again a bit of a scam.

We paid a reservation for one of the properties. Firstly the solicitors PH recommended discussed quotes with me over the phone. They then promised to beat the quotes I had had from other conveyancers. They promised me there would be no extra fees or hidden charges. Within 12hours of instructing their own recommended solicitors they called my partner and said there would be two extra fees for 'drawing up contracts' and costs that they could not put on the quote. They couldn't tell us how much they would cost but said they would be put onto our final bill?! I immediately told them we were not interested in using them and I wanted a refund for the money I have paid less than 12 hours ago after being told there would be no extra costs. We are still waiting for our refund for this deposit as we were completely mis-sold to. Luckily, also before exchanging we went into the garden and had an independent quote on how much it would cost to have the absolute landslide mess that they had left behind. We were quoted £21,000 just to fix the garden to make it something that wasn't an eyesore. Along with other quotes within the house amounting to over £5,000 just so we could move in. So we have decided to pull out. Keep looking elsewhere.

Houses are poor quality, everything seem cheap specialy windows. In our house window handles fell off in first year. Do not recommend

Had a leaking shower,plumber arrived and cut hole to access pipwork.Turned off water supply and left. Another guy arrived and cut away large portion of carpet so the floor could dry.That was 3 months ago and we are still in the same situation? Quicker to build a new house than get a repair. Customer service just not interested

Can’t fault the house, however the development remains unfinished, it’s not finished within said time scale and one building is now in the process of being sold by the developer, resulting in the development remaining a building site/eyesore/abandoned building for up to an additional 4+ years. Poor customer service, false promises, and the use of pressure selling tactics. Would highly recommend to avoid or not believe everything they say

I would like to tell you my experience from persimmon and what you should be aware of. The pictures that I have taken was at my parents house, which I live with them since the house was newly built. The house is 2 years, and already looks like a 10 year old. As you can see that they are multiple of wall cracks from each room that I have been discovered. The side of the bath tub has started to come off, and has a dirt underneath which I founded it difficult to remove them. There was one time that the roof tile slid off and fell onto our garden; which luckily it didn’t hit someone’s head, and could have caused brain damage. Their sound proof is awful. I kept hearing loud cars driving pass, people shouting outside, banging on the stairs and electronics plugging in. Door paint chipped off. No mirrors above bathroom sink and hardly place to put towels on. When I open the dining room door, it couldn’t go far back. It got stuck on the floor, due to floor tile wasn’t down properly. Theres not enough plug in my room, where one is next to my bed and one in wardrobe. When the heating goes off, it started to get cold very quickly. Also the window & the wood strip fitting at my room is not accurate. It just good to show that the quality building is not good. Lastly in cranford chase, there is not much to do at all and it is boring except for tiny park.

Persimmon Homes Scotland east are absolutely terrible, there customer service team are an absolute joke and are as much use as an ash tray on a motorbike. They cant do the simple things like call you back never mind all tell the same story. All new builds have there issues but its how they deal with these issues that say the most about them, I had issues with another house builder (Barrett) before but at least they spoke with you and turned up when organised, these guys (Persimmon) are just plain useless avoid at all costs

They have lied every step of the way. My neighbours and I paid extra for a “private cul de sac” and were told there would be a park etc. None of this has been built. They are starting phase 2 right next to our houses and haven’t informed us about it at all. They haven’t fulfilled their original plot promises. There is a public footpath running down the bottom of our “private cul de sac” they outright lied about and have continued to try and worm their way out of it. They completely ignore emails and phone calls just hoping you go away. The East Midlands head office is just as ignorant and also lie about promises. Don’t do it.

They cannot rectify the simplest of things and leave you with a badly finished dangerous house. All they are interested in is trying to bribe a good nhbc survey out of you. Left me homeless for a weekend by letting me down on moving day at 4.30 pm then when I eventually got the house after having to constantly chase the lying saleswoman after more failed promises to contact me it has numerous faults , My new house handover consisted of being chucked a bunch of keys in the sales office and a half arsed apology by a lying sales woman. I probably should of expected it after my new home demonstration as the house wasn't even finished and still full of workmen rushing to finish their respective bodges. They have to take several attempts to fix the simplest of things 8 weeks later I have no kitchen . Highlight of the house was the live uncovered socket found under the leaking bath and missing shower for two weeks. Persimmon response, oh sorry we will fix it. They promise to fix all snags in 15 working days. 8 weeks later still not done. Removed stairs to paint wall behind , put them back and forgot to paint, had to come back again and remove stairs to paint behind. Plasterer must have left his guide dog at home as most of the walls look the surface of the moon. The guide dog would have made a better job at painting the house. Three attempts to fix non working outside light, the bulb had gone!!!! Three attempts and counting to fix porch roof,the geniuses are yet to turn up with a ladder. Three attempts to fix a door stop! Still not done so I just gave up and fixed myself in 5 minutes., I don't think any one of them owns a spirit level or knows how to use it. They had to repaint most of the house and in the process got sanding dust all over brand new carpet and furniture not to mention paint on nearly every plug,socket and light fitting. I Had to cancel flooring contractors and removals at the last minute at my own cost thanks to the lying sales woman who "promised"it would compete that day which it didn't. This left me living on a camp bed with no flooring for a week and without a shower with furniture in storage as I couldn't re arrange flooring which was planned for the following day after moving. Don't worry though as you may get bribed with some free turf in exchange for a good nhbc survey. The turf will then be promptly laid on the "quality top soil" of broken bricks and building debris. I've lost count of the amount of money these clowns have cost me, latest gem has been no kitchen for a week so forced to eat takeaways. I'll be another few hundred pounds out of pocket to get carpets cleaned once their bodges finish. Take a read of their customer service pledge as it will give you a good idea of what you won't get. Not one single thing on it did they manage to do. I can't wait to fill in my nhbc survey. If you are unlucky enough to buy a persimmon house, DO NOT complete the nhbc survey until all snags are completed as this is all they are interested in and once you've sent this off they will have no interest in fixing anything. DONT BE ANOTHER PERSIMMON VICTIM.

Persimmon are the worst company I have ever dealt with. The quality of their homes is terrible and they have poor customer service to match. They do everything as cheap as possible and don't take responsibility for poor work. We had over 250 snags, some of which still aren't fixed nearly a year later. We went 83 days without a living room, dining room and half a kitchen because of a flooring issue that took 5 attempts to fix. They also covered our whole house (no exaggeration) in dust and left it for us to clean up. We've had 3 front doors to date, more than 100 cracked bricks, 6 windows replaced, 2 external doors fitted back to front, 6 internal doors replaced, countless things damaged, multiple plumbing issues, terrible landscaping, and this is just some of the problems. Their contractors just want to get in and out as quick as possible, that's if they even turn up. More often than not they have to return another day because they don't get it right first time or they install a damaged or incorrect product. An employee of theirs even told me that they aren't allowed to tell us about snags if they see any. Just shows that they want to get away with as much as possible. It's blatantly obvious from our experiences that they only care about money. Don't waste yours buying one of their houses.

I have only given 1 star, but if there had been an option for zero, it would have been that! Over 180 snags on my 7 day list, and many of them still outstanding, including some major ones such as: Unlevel porch floor causing a huge gap under my lounge door. This has taken dozens of emails, visits by the pre and current assistant site manager, the pre and current site manager, the customer care team and the flooring contractor, and still no resolution. Then there is the garden... due to the change in level from my garden to next door, their garage is about 2 feet below my garden level. However, that is apparently 'my' fault as I have cahnged the level of my garden... HOW EXACTLY?? Quite simply, do not buy from this developer.

Absolutely shocking experience! Never ever would trust Persimmons with anything! They built a playground area right next to our back garden (we were told there will be a small area with some wooden equipment and in the plans it didn’t even looked that close to our house). And what do you know, its 1 meter away from our back garden and garden door! After arguing with them they double fenced our garden. But we are constantly struggling with loud noise, teenagers hanging around in the evening, kids climbing our fence, throwing rubbish into our garden! Imagine paying that much money for a house and we can’t even open our kitchen door because of the noise! We are in process of looking to sell our home just because of this and would never ever trust persimmons or buy our next home from them! Ever! So thank you Persimmons from ruining our first home experience 👍

Am completing on a house with this lot and I cannot say how awful the whole experience has been. Let’s start with the extras - what do you want was their position not bothering to tell me there’s only room for one plumbed in item??? I now have a kitchen without room for a washing machine but has a dishwasher! Moving onto the price, we sighed a contract with an agreed price which two days later they increased! Their solicitor is now trying to add their own price!!!! Contrary to the price we have sighed on? We move in one week and they won’t let anyone in the house to measure for curtains? Kitchen has obvious damage despite it being identified some time back! I would think long and hard before buying off them!

Excellent quality of building. Helpful, professional and approachable staff. Customer Services really helpful. Any snagging issues dealt with quickly. The house is well insulated with solar panels built into the roof. I would recommend Persimmon Homes.

I have been living in a mess for 5 weeks since the water burst in my kitchen, at first they were helpful. Took time off to have cupboard, decorating and flooring replaced. The cupboard didn’t arrive, then the next day it did but was sent the wrong one. My kitchen dining room used to look beautiful now it’s a mess with a cold dusty screed floor. I have two free standing cupboards and all our food and appliances are in bags in the garage. Two days was fine to allow the work to be done but it’s been over a week and they expect me to either bring it all back in snd put in cupboards or rummage through bags everyone I want something. I don’t have the time as work long hours. They cannot give me a date for when the work will be done and do not appreciate that I cannot be there as I have to go go work snd my husband works away. They won’t even offer for me to get takeaways or meals out as they say the kitchen is usable. Maybe so but it’s grotty and I cannot get to food as explained. Also the garden since we brought the house has been dug up and redone with bore holes to let the water seep away because it was like a bog. It is still like it and though they say they’ll send someone out, they never turn up. I’m at my wits end. I keep emailing and calling. Either they don’t reply or I’m told managers are very busy and can take up to 5 days to call back. We are all busy. Wish I had taken notice off the reviews before buying. Disgraceful company.

Hi visited a home in ashford via the permission homes sales office in Ashford. Was the worst experience of my life for me and my young daughter The two ladies were absolutely rude. Gave evil stares at us both. I can assure you this office is anti immigrants moving too ashford. Boycott this company Will never buy from Permission Homes

Phone you every 20mins when you're buying but once you've bought you can't get hold of them. Especially true of Wayne, site manager at Fairways in Cramlington. 18 months still waiting for a timeline for repairs reported 1st day.
