“We used Mable at a time when our daughter was struggling with an eating disorder. We are an expat family and were not able to access services within our country of residence so the online platform Mable offered was ideal for our situation. We were able to search through the list of therapists, narrow it down to the therapist with experience in the area we needed and then my daughter chose the therapist she felt most comfortable working with.
My daughter decided she wanted to work with Ellie and we set up our first session. When I first booked the appointment, it was a week away but I asked if Ellie had any earlier availability. Ellie was extremely flexible and was able to move to an earlier date.
When we first met with Ellie, I met with her alone and described the situation. Ellie asked relevant questions and informed me of how the sessions would be run with my daughter. She then had her first meeting. My daughter is not one to share information but she felt comfortable with Ellie and was able to discuss problems and issues she was having with her. Within a few weeks, we saw a change in our daughter's approach towards problems and felt that she was starting more easily cope with situations related to her disordered eating. Ellie was open to communication with me and I was able to tell her any issues that had arisen so that she could also work through these problems with my daughter in the session.
Ellie was always on time and she was extremely professional. She had a very calm demeanour and was extremely understanding which led her to quickly develop a relationship with my child. I highly recommend Ellie and would not hesitate to book sessions with her if we need them again at a later time.”
