Rude and unhelpful drivers/riders who have zero concept of customer service. Orders arriving late after paying for "Premium Delivery". Refund requests for missing items ignored. Worst company I've ever dealt with

The customer service at Barwell Chef is severely lacking. I caution against ordering their food through Deliveroo. I placed an order at 10 pm, received no delivery, and encountered complete silence from the restaurant. Despite contacting Deliveroo, they informed me that the restaurant handles its deliveries and provided a number to call directly. Despite numerous attempts, my calls went unanswered. Checking their Google listing revealed a closing time of 11 pm, explaining the lack of response. Deliveroo continuously displayed that my food was being prepared, claiming it was delivered by 1 am. However, I never received the food and received no communication from either Deliveroo or Barwell Chef. When I sought a refund from Deliveroo, they claimed inability to assist. Contacting the restaurant resulted in poor treatment over the phone, with the staff asserting their inability to resolve the issue. I paid £15 for a simple meal via Deliveroo and received nothing but abuse from Barwell Chefs and a meager apology from Deliveroo. Steer clear of these scammers.

Awful service got received a £30 order completely cold to only receive £8 and £2.50 for delivery back Live chat provided no help mostly automated responses

Deliveroo app said the restaurant accepted the order and made me wait for an hour for nothing The app said the restaurant accepted the order and was preparing the order. As it passed the expected delivery time, I decided to call the restaurant and they said: “contact Deliveroo for a refund, we do not deliver to your area, too far.” I had been expecting for the food for one hour. I am very much disappointed with both customer services (the restaurant that did not call me to provide the information that they would not deliver to my area even though they had all my information there and from Deliveroo that did not communicate with the restaurant to know beforehand if they would deliver and only then accept the order… they made me wait so long for nothing). They have emailed me a cancellation receipt but this did not erase the fact that I’m going to bed without having my meal. Disappointed!!!

Everything! From their customer service till the fact that they were not able to get in touch with the businesses they work with themselves. The entire experience has been a disgrace.

Absolutely shocking! I placed a £35 order it was delayed 3 times because they had no delivery person then when it finally arrived it was stone cold by far the worst service iv ever used

I ordered 2 big breakfasts sandwiches. The first delivery didn't get there. The second delivery got there, eventually, but it was the wrong order. They sent me some tomato soup and some crisps. Went to complain and the bloke I was talking to, just left. Never ever I'm i going to order anything of deliveroo. They're not delivery people they are con merchants. I'm not happy.

I ordered food this evening. I was told that the driver had called me and could not reach me and so he left. When I contacted them they said the driver called. I told them there were no missed calls, I was told he called another number and claimed I provided the wrong number. However, my account with deliveroo has all my details including my phone number. I have ordered from Deliveroo many times, and had no problems as such before. However, they said I gave a wrong number, thus it was my fault and refused to refund 63 pounds that I had spent. I have never seen such a treatment of customers like this before. Outright refusal with no further investigation! Never again!

You don't always get what you pay for and complaining does not help, Deliveroo does nothing. They also keep pushing up the fees.

Bad company...thieves....once just stole my food..pretend to deliver to my neighbours.nobody took it and drove away with that nonsense motorbike.pretend didn't hear when I'm shouting...looks like really nobody there cares about company or respects clients...Real thieves...

THIS COMPANY ARE HORRIBLE, order never arrived but CS first said the driver was wait to deliver and couldn't, later the order was delivered and the code was put as received, can't tell what code was given to driver, so they can put any number and mark as delivered. Really a joke this company. AVOID AT ALL COST, they are horrible and the CustumerService area JOKE AND USELESS. Bunch of thiefs... ended up without food or money.

Deliveroo have taken unauthorised payments from my account. They couldn't be more difficult if they tried when it comes to customer services. Refusing to speak to me due to GDPR (despite me giving all the correct payment and confirmatory details) and it being my account. They also said they contacted the person in question which they haven't as it's ME! Finally now refusing to give me the details of the complaints procedure!

Deliveroo have the worst customer service. we ordered a takeaway and waited over two hours to be told the restaurant had gone to the wrong house and they would now not be delivering our food & the restaurant were keeping our money. when I contacted deliveroo they said it had nothing to do with them as the restaurant were using their own drivers even though i ordered through deliveroo. deliveroo then said they would have to rely on the information the restaurant gave them and the restaurant said i was unresponsive when they tried to deliver my food. HOW CAN YOU BE RESPONSIVE AT A HOUSE YOU DONT LIVE IN! Deliveroo were absolutely no help and said they were relying on the restaurants information and not mine the customer who orders from them at least twice a week. DELIVEROO DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR RESTAURANTS USING THEIR OWN DRIVERS, ANY RESTAURANT CAN DECIDE NOT TO DELIVER YOUR FOOD & KEEP YOUR MONEY & DELIVEROO DO NOT CARE!!!!

Never trust this deliveroo! Never trust this deliveroo! They are so bad. I haven't received my order. I gave them a clear instruction to buzz on my flat. And they've got my number to text me. I've just got a message on their site portal that the rider is outside my door but no one was there. No text, no call or knocking the door! I got a bad cold and flu thats why ive ordered online just today. Never I will trust this DEViLeroo again. That was £21.25 order wasted!

I ordered 2 weeks ago from Deliveroo and the driver refused to climb the stairs to my apartment, then tried to tell me that he couldn't find my unit (he obviously just didn't go upstairs). I told him this, and he told me to complain to Deliveroo then. When I said I would complain, he shouted at me as I went up the stairs "SL*T!" I called Deliveroo immediately, and they seemed initially apologetic, raising the issue to the customer service "Serious Complaints" team. This was two weeks ago and I have followed up twice with no update or response. Is this how you treat your customers? Simply ghosting them when one of your drivers shouts sexual slurs to young women? I am very afraid that this driver knows my exact address. Not to mention he is most likely still working and delivering food to other young women who live alone. This is absolutely unacceptable!

If there was a 0 star I would give it a 0 The driver told me that he didn't find my adress and wanted me to meet him I wanted to help him asking me where he was ? But he was giving names of places that I never heard off Than he decided to leave it in a place that i don't even know When I spoke to the company they said they can't offer me nothing because it's showing that he arrived on the location I was outside the whole time and no one came to my adress and our conversation could clearly tell that he was no where near they suspended my account . And told me they have nothing to do with it and didn't even tell me where my food was Very very bad
