“Our solar system was installed in January. With it, we had an immersion controller to divert excess power to the water heater. As time went on and we moved into the unseasonably warm spell in February it became apparent that the water heater system was not functioning so I contacted EEC and reported the problem.. It is now nearly May and nothing has been done! Despite numerous phone calls and emails no-one is responding other than telling me that they are aware of the problem and that someone will get back to me and arrange a visit. How long do I have to wait? I have not really made a fuss and have relied upon the company's professionalism to remedy this situation, but it now seems that I am being taken for a mug and they have no interest in customer support. I must say I am very disappointed. They were very quick to ask for my payment which they received within minutes of the installation being completed, but the are not quite so quick when it comes to sorting out customer's problems. I am very reluctant to post poor reviews as I was always told "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!" In this instance I have no choice. I am hoping that EEC redeem themselves soon and sort my problem out, but I'm not holding my breath!”

“Surveyor and installers arrived on time. Installers neat and tidy. Explanation of system good. EEC staff always able to answer any questions and did actually sort out problem with my Electricity supplier immediately. Staff very friendly and helpful.”

“The team who fitted our PC were very professional, knowledgeable and tidy. They did a very good job hiding wires and installing internal equipment. Scaffolding was up for too long and communication around the fitting was lapse.”

“I had a very good experience with the installation of my solar panels by EEC-HI.I found them very well organised. I was kept informed in every stage of the process. The team were very competent, considerate and friendly. I think the quality of work and products is very high. I am really pleased with my solar panel system.”

“The installation went well, however organising the work wasn't very good. We were advised when the scaffolders would be arriving, so took a day off work, but they didn't arrive. When I chased EEC they said they would give them a call and get back to me, but never bothered to call back. Got the feeling that admin were booking appointments in without talking to the installers, which meant they couldn't possibly meet the demand.”

“We were very pleased with all EEC's work: the quotation and supplying information when we requested it; the surveyor and installation team, who were all pleasant, efficient and very helpful; and the admin for efficient and friendly guidance with the application form. “Scaffolding was erected on time as promised, 2 broken tiles but this was rectified later. Solar panel installation team were excellent. They were efficient, friendly and professional. They took great care around the property and the finished product was very neat and tidy. Every effort was made to meet our requirements with regard to cable siting etc. Very well done and many thanks. The scaffolding remained with us for 2 weeks but was removed with care without further incident. On the whole, a very good job.”

“My solar panels are now finally installed, but i did have to put in a formal notice of complaint as to how the office has handled my installation. My install date was changed 4 times. On the first occaisions I had taken the day off work to wait at home and was only told on the day. I was called several times to rearrange and on the final time i was asked if I could move my installation from the morning to the afternoon. When I explained that i had been assured that there was a put a note on my file stating my time was not to be moved again, and that I had booked the morning off work so at such short notice I couldn’t change it, the lady I spoke with assured me not to worry and that they would be there first thing Monday morning as planned. As it happened, they did not arrive until 2pm. I called the office twice that morning and was told they had been delayed but were en route and would be with me within 30 mins to an hour. (clearly they had not even left when I phoned earlier but I was fobbed off). When they finally arrived at 2 to find me slightly disgruntled, they were surprised as they told me they had been booked on a job in Ipswich during the morning so had never even planned to come to me for 8am. I would have preferred it if the person I spoke to in the office had been honest with me and just told me that she had to move the appointment, rather than pretending that she hadn’t moved it and then making me wait in all morning and have to furthermore arrange to also take the afternoon off work at the last minute. I have no complaints about the fitting team themselves, they have done a great job and were all very nice guys. I did get my documents quickly following installation, although i'm still waitinf for the scaffolding to be taken town (over a week and a half later - it has now been up for several weeks).”

“A advertising e-mail caught my eye regarding solar panels which I had been contemplating for some time. In reply I was given EEC as one who could quote. A quick reply and visit explaining the procedure was arranged. The explanation was good as was the price. Installation was quick and the crew were very good. immediately forms were sent to complete the Feed In Tariff application. This has been accepted, all completed within two weeks.”
