“As it relates to service, pricing, and final invoice received. Re: Booking Reference No. - 1936597 Dealing with Cheap Tickets was the worst experience I have ever encountered when trying to book travel. From selecting my flight to final payment was not without issues. Primarily, once my payment information was submitted, and I received final confirmation for this booking. To my surprise, some 10 hours later, the confirmation that I had received was NOT the final pricing, nor confirmation. While my credit card was charged immediately, and was reflecting pending on my card account, Cheap Tickets did not “finalize” the transaction until some 9 hours later which bumped me to a new day and a different price (like an additional $300). When I called to inquire as to why this had occurred, after I had received a confirmation, they said it was not confirmed. They then wanted to blame my bank and say that they had not received the authorization from my bank in time. A call to my major bank that holds my credit card, said no, that was not true. The transaction was pending with the bank waiting on the merchant (Cheap Tickets) to finalize the transaction on their end. In bringing this to the attention of the Customer Service representative he was insistent that it was my bank’s fault. I then insisted that my call be escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor then went into this diatribe about the confirmation I had received vs the e-ticket confirmation that I had not yet received. This new person now explained that the final price isn’t settled until the e-ticket is sent out. He also went on and on about how the “price changes every second”! I’ve never heard of such a thing. I’ve tracked and followed airfare prices for a long time, and yes, I know that fares change, but not quite like that!! Further, this supervisor then quoted me a price change, that reverted back to the amount that I had originally been charged; however, this price did not include seats. I then received an invoice from Cheap Tickets that indicated I had paid a certain amount for the flights, and for the seats. The next day, I received an email confirmation from Frontier (who the tickets were with through Cheap Tickets) that showed a lower price without seats. My questions now are: (1) why is the Frontier price cheaper than Cheap Tickets; and (2) why do I not have seats confirmed since the invoice from Cheap Tickets says that I do have seats? What’s going on here? Fraud??, and (3) why does Cheap Tickets not finalize and issue the e-ticket once the payment has been received?”

“Non-transparent and misleading fares on websites. Your scam is obvious: advertise non-existant fares at lower prices to secure a booking, then call the traveller and tell them the airlines have increased the prices and offer the same price as could easily have been booked on line with immedioate confirmation with a host of other agents. Never again.”

“I booked a flight. your policy says if we cancel the flight within 24 hours, we get a refund. It doesn't mention any penalty. But, you charged me $50 for cancellation within 24 hours. I had another booking with Expedia. When, I cancelled. I got the full refund. what do you things, I will do next time I am booking a flight? Issue was resolved. I Got a coupon for use on the next time I book a flight on their website.”

“I purchased 2 tickets with 2 bags from Chicago to Miami, the confirmation number was 1935611, and out of the sudden I’ve got an email telling me to contact you URGENT, because my booking was pending due a low price, it’s not my fault that you set a price too low, so a rude guy attend my phone call, telling me that I was just getting a refund, because the tickets that you guys sold me, were too cheap and the tickets then cost more than what you sold me. Then I had to pay 502$ with you guys with the confirmation number 1935771, and even with this last confirmation I had to pay 35$ more, for a flight from the same route. I believe it’s a scam. At the beginning I refused to get a refund and ask the operator to get me my tickets, but he insist that it’s wasn’t possible because of the prices. So how do you guys called that? You guys failed with the prices shared on the kayak app.”

“This was an absolute disappointment. I was FORCED to keep a flight that I didn't asked for. They have ONE woman running the damn show. Joanna picked up my call, I was inquiring about the cost of flying Spirit vs AA, she told me that she was going to check it but she needed to put me on hold. She moved my flight to Spirit after putting me on hold. When I told her that that was not what I wanted, she REFUSED to change it back. I called because online I saw that it was really reasonable to have a round trip with them. She booked me ONE way for $30 cheaper than AA and they charge for carry-on, so Iwill be paying $21.00 more - I was ok paying the $30 and flying with a reliable and comfortable Airline. I have medical issues and I'm dealing with my mom's heart surgery. I don't need the extra stress. She was yelling at me, and I couldn't get 2 words in because she got upset at me when I told her that she was not told to make the change.”
